What an amazing site to see the thousands of people turn up for an event like this! Perfect conditions too.
A funny run for me today. I felt crap the entire way and had hamstring/glute pain in my left leg almost from the beginning but was able to finish in 1:09.01 by my watch for an average pace of about 4.45 km/hr (based on 14.8km distance). The course had to be short, otherwise I ran the last km in just about 3 minutes!! Very dead and tired legs and was breathing way too hard - but that is probably caused by the cold I have been fighting off.
I have to do more hard running & racing.
I took the dog for a walk last night and I can feel my left ITB starting up again. Maybe I have gone a bit hard this week. Note to self: More stretching!
Big food issues the past 4 days. Trying to get a handle on what I am eating. I know I look a bit better having put on a couple of kgs since Six Foot but I am struggling with it.

Hi Diane, I've not done much of the rounds at Cool Running, and now I notice you have a blog.
Was a great day yesterday, shame about the distance, the shortening of that is.
I must have been just behind you with a time of 1:09:11. Wasnt that wait for a drink and the goodies bag hell?!?
What a joke the finish was! I stood there for 10-15 minutes and had no idea in the end why it took so long to pick up a green bag! I should have done what others did and go under the barriers and pick up a bag from the back!
