I ran the Half in what I would consider to be perfect running conditions (it is pity my running is far from perfect!!)
Started out ok and settled into a pretty steady pace for the first 12k. The first 2k in 10:02 were somewhat crowded so I was pleased to go through 12k in 58.30. I wanted to run just under 100 minutes for 21k and felt that I came home really well and seemed to be continuously passing runners for most of the next 9k.
I missed my goal time by a minute and finished with 1:40:44 (by my watch). That's a PB for me for a Half. Some people have posted that the course was anywhere from 200 to 500 metres long. Whatever!

Congrats on a pb and the starts are always congested.
What's with the 'whatever' comment. Even if the course is 1 metre too long, that's serious business and somebody's head should roll.
You are right Steve! Was thinking about it and realised that an extra 200 metres for me is nearly 1 minute. If the course was 500 metres long or more as many people were saying then that's at least 2 minutes plus for me.
One of those very funny things that you never know whether to bother worrying about. I honestly did feel that I was pulling out some quick kms in the final 6k and was surprised to discover that I was only running still at 4:40 pace.
