5km hobble

My god I have pulled up sore from Sunday's run. There were some big up and down hills and we did go down the 1000 steps twice.

I was too sore to run yesterday but managed to hobble out with the dog for a very slow 5km this morning. The first 200 metres were agony but once I started moving it was tolerable. It hurt to step up and down the gutters and each time I stopped to let Harry catch up or call him back from a wandering.

Leading back to my house are a flight of old bluestone steps - about 15 - which go down from the railway bridge. Going up them at the start was ok, but the return trip down was sheer torture!

You are one of the few bloggers I have actually run with. Back at the 2006 Puffing Billy practice that was organised by Chilliman I ran with you for a little bit.

You have inspired me and given me confidence, but now I am hanging up my Blog and bidding my friends goodbye and good luck.
